My course offers a blend of theory and practice aimed to support me in my future career in interactive media. During my course I have learned how to work collaboratively in a team to produce a digital campaign in accordance with a brief, I have leraned how to implement design theory into digital components to drive the influence of the products, I have learned how to code webpages such as this one and how to work with interfaces.

Learn moreThroughout my time here I have produced various blog pages for the Visit Liverpool webpage including where to eat for gradation meals, the best cocktail bars and the best independent coffee shops. This project allowed me not only to work with some of Marketing Liverpool's partners and create my own content but to see how the Visit Liverpool website runs. I also wrote this month's newsletter for July 2023.
I then branched further into the digital side of operations looking at the Visit Liverpool social media website helping to moderate the content displayed and record any areas for improvement. I looked at the analytics of such pages to uncover trends in readership and generate ideas on how to maximise potential readership. I was able to attend ML's client, ‘Liver Building 360's' tour to gather content which I then curated into TikTok advertisement videos to be shared across the Visit Liverpool social platforms. I loved getting to see behind the scenes of the company’s website and social media, tracking the data, conducting user research and being able to contribute, in the ways that I could.
During my time here with Marketing Liverpool I was given the opportunity to attend and contribute towards various meetings both with the team and clients. Moreover, I was honoured to attend various networking events such as Marketing Liverpool’s Summer Social 2023 and their client Novotel’s 1st birthday event where I got the opportunity to network with people in the industry and important members of the Liverpool community and gain important contact details to help me with potential future employment.
Liverpool has a real love for independent businesses, especially coffee shops!
